Art makes me smile
I am a painter and photographer, based in Germany, working from my studio, where I explore visual ideas through different materials and techniques.
Painting is at the center of my practice. I work mainly with acrylic, while gouache and watercolor are also part of my process. In more recent series I have started to explore oil painting as well.
I have been working as an artist since 1998, and over the last five years I have returned to painting with renewed focus and continuity.
My work is driven by curiosity and experimentation. I spend a lot of time studying surfaces, structures and materials, trying to translate impressions, thoughts and atmospheres into a visual language on canvas.
Painting is my way of expressing what moves through my mind and perception — photography accompanies this process as another way of observing the world.
